Card Swap

Today I'm showing you three cards that I made that were designed by 3 ladies in my Jefferson City, Mo card group. We meet each week for lunch and spend time afterwards, crafting away for a few hours. Marsha had the idea to do a "swap" once a month and we are all loving this new reason to gather together. Each of us designs a card, and then we cut enough "kits" for everyone who attends. We have 4 ladies in our group and Marsha's granddaughter comes often and designs her own too.  Here's what we made in July:

This beautiful Hello card was designed by 13 year old Ava, Marsha's granddaughter.  Isn't it lovely? I believe she used the Perennial Lavender designer series paper.  Several of our designer papers are on sale for the month of August and this paper is too pretty not to have.

Marsha made a note card and used some retired paper from Sale-a-bration. I love how she covered the entire front of the note card with the paper, then cut out the bird with the floral branch, and a snippet of green leaves using our Bough punch.  That punch is still current, and it has two sizes of leaves.

Melissa gave us an interesting paper fold card. I'm not sure what it's called, but there were several squares of paper, all the same size and we folded them corner to corner and placed them on our card. I love the interesting design it makes.  The stamp set is retired, but we do have one that is current with the same sentiment.  It is called You Are Beautiful.

What do you think?  Please leave me a comment and let me know.  Have you ever participated in a card swap?

Thanks for stopping by today.  Soon, we will have a new mini catalog, so if you do not have a demonstrator and would like a catalog, please let me know.  I'm happy to order one for you.

Enjoy your day!

  1. I love the card with the folds. Any chance of getting instructions?
