This past Saturday I was one of many demonstrators from around the world who took part in the online event called Creativity Now. This event is hosted by Stampin' Up! for the last 3 years and it's full of creative fun, make and takes, and sneak peeks of products that will be in the soon to be released Mini catalog. We also had a chance to pre-order the Winterly Tree Tops suite and we made some projects that other demonstrators designed. We got to watch them make it, then they did it a second time and we created along with them.
Here's a sneak peek of the Winterly Tree Tops suite. It has a beautiful stamp set, matching dies, beautiful 12 x 12 designer papers, the Birch 3D embossing folder, some gems and 3 rolls of colored twine. The gems and twine match the colors in the paper. The bundle is available for those that may not want all the other products that are in the suite. The bundle is the stamp set and matching dies, and they are priced at a 10% discount if you purchase them as a bundle. Here's a sneak peek of the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle.
We made 3 cards and a gift box using these new products.I colored the birds with our Ivory Stampin' Blends and Cherry Cobbler for the berries and Copper clay for the branches. Pecan Pie for the little pussy willows.
Here's a closeup of these cute little birds.
The die was used for the frame of the card and was cut out of Basic Gray cardstock. The bird was colored using a combination of Daffodil Delight and Peach Pie Stampin' Blends. We saved the negative of the pine die to use as a masking stencil on the next card.
We took the negative cut out from the pine die placed it on a white layer. We blended Mossy Meadow around the edges to make this frame. Then we turned it 180 degrees and used the leftover ink on our blending brush to make the lighter image. I decided to dress up the sentiment label using the same technique.
My bluebirds just had to sparkle, so I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the birds and the berries.
