Hello and happy Friday!
I hope wherever you are at, that you're almost ready for the weekend. I also hope that means you'll get to do something fun. I recently participated in a swap of cards with a friend in Arizona. Swapping cards is so much fun. The organizer gives us criteria to follow pertaining to the type of card and layers required. Then we sign up and we mail the cards to the organizer, and she gathers all the cards and mails them back to us. It's a nice surprise to get as many cards as you made, back from all the participants. So much fun to see what everyone has made.
Today's card is one that I created using the new Marigold Moments stamp set (#160665). This set also comes in a bundle (#160667) with matching dies. If you buy the bundle, you save 10% off the price of the stamps and dies alone. Here's my card:
The cardbase is Daffodil Delight and I used Old Olive and Mossy Meadow ink for the leaves and stem. I used Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry ink for the marigold flowers. I love this set because it's a "2-step" stampset that includes the detail as well as the filler inked areas. Because the stamps are clear photopolymer, this allows you to see exactly where you're stamping and it's a fool proof way to stamp! The polka dot paper is taken from the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper pack (#159256). I used the Crushed Curry paper from the pack. A few of the Black Matte Dots (#154284) finish it off nicely.
Oh wow! This is beautiful! A simple yet elegant card.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy. I love 2 step stamping because the image comes to life in the detail. Glad you like it.
