Hello and welcome!
Today I'd like to show you a card we made online with Stampin' Up! Starting this week, we will have a Mystery Stamping event and Stampin' Up! coordinates it for us. They give us dimensions and cardstock needed before the event, and we stamped along with people from our home office. What fun! Here's what we made with Shannon and Chad. It's a "whitewash" technique, and it's something I've never done before.
We used Crumb Cake cardstock as our base and whitewashed it with our watercolor pens and our Whisper White ink. Mine didn't turn out dark enough, but for my first time, it's ok I think. The pink panel is Blushing Bride, and we stamped the leaf image and sentiment in white ink, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. We used the Splendid Thoughts stamp set (#159668) and the matching Splendid Stems Dies (#159676). The dark brown leaf is from the die set in Early Espresso cardstock, and a small piece of the matching Splendid Day DSP (#159666) was used to cut the smaller leaf design. I added some dots with my white gel pen for more interest.
We will have 4 more of these Mystery Stamping events, so be sure to check back to see what we made.
Remember, if you don't already have a demonstrator and would like a catalog, contact me and I'll get one out to you right away. Have a "splendid" day. 😊
Splendid card, love it!
