Some time ago, I saw a unique fold, called Origami fold. I don't know who's design it was, so I'm sorry to say I cannot give credit. I assume it's been around for quite some time and I just had to try it.
Here's an infinity shot of the 21 cards I made, along with a few close ups. What fun it was to make these!
I really made a dent in my stash of designer series paper. And believe me, that was very hard. I often buy paper because I fall in love with it, then just can't seem to cut it into pieces. Isn't that weird? If you love paper like I do, you probably can relate.
See that blue? Well that's such an old card stock color, that I had to call a very dear friend who's been doing Stampin' Up! longer than me. I was given some DSP that I had no idea what it was. I sent her a photo and she said "Oh, that's Brilliant Blue" (before my time as a demonstrator). Did she have some? Of course she did! So she gave me 6 pieces of card stock, and I traded her for 6 pieces of Dapper Denim, a current In Color that she didn't yet have. We were both very happy and I was able to use up my DSP with the Brilliant Blue card stock she had. She even had the ink pad! I love it when a plan comes together.
The big flower was cut using the current Pansy Punch. The centers were cut with the soon to be retired, Blossom Punch. On some of the sentiments, I used the retired Word Window Punch.
Various retired Designer Series Papers were used for the Origami fold. I started with the papers, then found card stock to match it.
Next week I'll show you what I've made in birthday cards. I'm on a quest to use up a lot of retired DSP.

I don't know this fold...hmm I so will have to figure this one out. I think its fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brenda. It's super easy. But as of right now, my directions are put away. I will get them and do a follow up on measurements for you and email you, if that's ok?
