Welcome and thanks for stopping by.
Today my post is a sad one, but with a happy "future".
While it is very sad to see a lot of my favorites leave the Stampin'
Up! catalog, it makes room for new products, new designs, new
everything...and still some repeats that will have a home in the new
catalog.
At my monthly stamp camp yesterday, we used some products that are retiring and that's what I will show you today. The 2013-2015 In Colors were some of the best I've seen, and I will miss them very much. I stocked up on the card stock while I could, and most of them are gone now. They didn't last long once the Retired List was posted. So, without further delay, here's 5 of the cards we made.

Crisp Cantaloupe & Baked Brown Sugar cardstock; Postage Due Stamp Set (all retiring)
Coastal Cabana cardstock & ribbon (retiring); Windows Framelits (retiring); Gifts of Kindness Stamp Set (not retiring) Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe & Coastal Cabana (retiring)
Both the top and bottom cards use Very Vanilla & Melon Mambo cardstock (not retiring); Typeset DSP (being carried over to the new catalog); and a Hostess Set called Bloom with Hope (retiring)
Want to know the really sad part? Most of these stamps have never been used prior to yesterday. I have no idea why that is....maybe it's like "so many things to do, and not enough time" ? I know for sure these sets will not be going anywhere; they are going to stay in my craft room, along with some of their friends, all nice and tucked away in my retired stamp sets drawer. Maybe in 2 years I can consider giving them a new home.
In a few days I will post the other 2 cards we made that use products that are not retiring. Stay tuned!
Until then, happy stamping!
Hello Bobbi: Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your sweet words, I truly enjoyed making this card using some of the SU soon to be retired products, like the Apothecary Art stamps and dies, (why do they retire this wonderful stuff, is beyond me)
ReplyDeleteI love each of this beautiful cards, I have some of the products you used but don't have others, like the Postage Due and the Blooming with Hope stamp sets.
I too, neglect to use older stamps and tools, like the super cute dress die set that I used to make that card for The Paper Players, I promised myself that I will make some cards for Operation Write Home using this lovely dies.
I hope the new SU catty has some pretty stamps this time, I want more images for teens, more with elegant, masculine images and definitely, some sets with Patriotic themes that we can use for the 4th. of July, Memorial Day, etc.
Anyway, thanks again for sharing your beautiful cards and for visiting my blog.
Happy Stamping.
Maria.
