Hello and thanks for stopping by. I'm taking a tiny break from the normal Fall/Thanksgiving and Christmas cards today. I have been anxious to ink up the new Four Feathers stamp set, featured in the Holiday catalog. And, it has its own matching set of Framelits too! Here's my card:
Other than the 4 feathers popped up on dimensionals, this is a single layer card. I used Whisper White card base and stamped all of the feathers randomly, using Versamark ink. They I used our Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I love how they seem to pop off the card. I then sponged So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe and just a touch of Strawberry Slush all over the background. It's ok to sponge over those embossed feathers too. Because they are already heat set, the ink won't stick to them. After finishing the sponging, gently wipe away the embossed feathers, to remove any residue left from the inks. Then I stamped each of the Four Feathers in the same colors, and cut them out with the framelits. Add a button and some burlap ribbon threads, attached by a glue dot, and the card is done. Quick as a wink, this is the result. I have a friend who just had back surgery and I'm sending this to her.
I hope you enjoyed my post today. If you do not have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, please contact me. I'd love to chat and send you a catalog, even if you don't live here in Arizona. Have a great day!
